Buhii.net Accessibility Statement
Buhii.net aims to follow WCAG 2.2 AA. Learn about the accessibility features on our site, known limitations, and how to report a barrier or ask for help.
Last updated:
Buhii.net is committed to making our articles and guides usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation. This statement explains the standard we aim to follow, the measures already in place, the known limitations and how to contact us if you run into a barrier.
Our Commitment
Useful information should be available to everyone. Accessibility is part of how we design, build and write content for Buhii.net, not an afterthought. We treat it as an ongoing effort and keep working to improve the site as we add new features and content.
Standards We Aim to Follow
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), WCAG is the internationally recognized standard for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
Accessibility Measures on Buhii.net
Design and Display
- Responsive layout: Pages adapt to different screen sizes, so articles are readable on phones, tablets and desktop computers.
- Light and dark mode: You can switch between light and dark display modes to choose whichever is more comfortable for your eyes.
- Visible focus states: When you navigate with a keyboard, a visible focus indicator shows which link, button or control is currently selected.
Navigation
- Skip-to-content link: Keyboard and screen reader users can jump past the header and navigation straight to the main content of each page.
- Keyboard-accessible menus and accordions: Navigation menus and expandable sections can be opened, closed and used with a keyboard alone.
Content Structure
- Semantic headings: Pages use a logical heading structure, which helps screen reader users understand how content is organized and move between sections.
- Alt text on images: Images include text alternatives, so people who can’t see them still get the information they convey.
- Clear writing: The Buhii.net editorial team writes in plain language, with descriptive headings, short paragraphs and lists that make articles easier to read and scan.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the experience may not be fully accessible:
- Third-party content: Some content provided by third parties, which may in future include display advertising, is outside our direct control and may not fully meet the same accessibility standards.
- External websites: Our articles link to outside sources, such as government, public-health and university websites. These sites are managed by other organizations, and their accessibility may vary.
- Ongoing improvements: Accessibility is never finished. If we identify an issue on our own pages, we work to fix it as part of our regular site reviews.
