Buhii.net Editorial Policy

How the Buhii.net editorial team chooses topics, uses sources, reviews every article, handles health and money content, uses AI tools and keeps ads separate.

Last updated:

This editorial policy explains how Buhii.net decides what to publish, how our articles are researched, written and reviewed, and how we keep our content accurate and independent. It applies to every article and guide across our four hubs: Technology & Digital Life, Business & Money, Lifestyle & Wellness and How-To Guides.

Our Mission

Buhii.net exists to publish clear, accurate and practical information that helps people make better everyday decisions. We want every reader to leave an article with a straight answer, the context needed to understand it and an honest picture of any trade-offs.

Editorial Independence

The Buhii.net editorial team makes all editorial decisions independently. That means:

  • We alone decide which topics to cover, what to recommend and how information is presented.
  • Advertisers, affiliate partners and sponsors do not review, approve or edit our articles before publication.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage, rankings or recommendations.

How We Choose Topics

We start with real questions readers are asking. Topic ideas come from reader emails and messages, common questions in the areas we cover, and gaps we notice where existing information is confusing, outdated or incomplete.

Before we commit to a topic, we ask:

  1. Does this answer a genuine question that people have?
  2. Can we add real value, such as a clearer explanation, practical steps or better sources?
  3. Can we support the article with reliable, verifiable evidence?

If the answer to any of these is no, we don’t publish it. You can suggest a topic at any time through our contact page.

Sourcing Standards

Good articles are built on good sources. When researching, we prioritize primary and authoritative sources, including:

  • Official and government websites, regulators and public agencies
  • Public-health bodies and recognized medical organizations
  • Universities and peer-reviewed research
  • Official documentation and specifications from manufacturers and developers
  • Reputable publishers with clear editorial standards

We cite and link the sources we rely on within each article, so you can check the information for yourself. Anonymous forum posts and unverified social media claims are never treated as evidence. If a claim can’t be supported by a reliable source, we leave it out.

Writing Standards

We write for people first, not for search engines. Our writing standards are simple:

  • Answer early. The main question is addressed near the top, followed by the detail and context that help you act on it.
  • Use plain language. We write clearly and directly and explain technical terms when we need them.
  • Be honest about limits. We point out trade-offs, risks and situations where general advice may not apply.
  • No clickbait or filler. Headlines reflect what the article actually delivers, and we don’t pad articles to make them longer.
  • Make it easy to scan. We use descriptive headings, short paragraphs and lists, and every article ends with FAQs that answer common follow-up questions.

These standards follow the principles in Google’s guidance on creating helpful, reliable, people-first content.

Review and Editing

Every article is reviewed by an editor before it is published. During that review, the editor checks that:

  • Facts, figures, dates and instructions match their sources
  • Sources are credible, current and correctly linked
  • The article answers the reader’s question clearly and completely
  • The tone is balanced and free of exaggerated or misleading claims

Articles that don’t meet these standards are revised or not published. Our fact-checking policy describes each verification step in detail.

Extra Care for Health and Money Topics

Topics that can affect a reader’s health, finances or safety, often called “Your Money or Your Life” (YMYL) topics, get extra care:

  • We rely on the most authoritative sources available, such as public-health bodies, government agencies and regulators.
  • We avoid definitive claims where evidence is limited, and we explain when experts disagree.
  • We double-check figures, limits and dates, because rules, rates and guidance change often.
  • We clearly separate general information from anything that would require personal advice.

Please note: Health and money content on Buhii.net is general information, not professional advice. It does not take your personal circumstances into account. Always consult a qualified doctor, licensed financial adviser, tax professional or other appropriate expert before making important decisions. Our disclaimer explains this in more detail.

Updates and Dates

Every article shows the date it was published and the date it was last updated, so you can judge how current it is. Our guides are reviewed regularly and updated when facts change, when better sources become available or when readers point out something we missed.

Use of AI Tools

The Buhii.net editorial team may use AI tools to assist with research or drafting. Anything produced with the help of these tools is always reviewed, fact-checked and edited by the editorial team. Nothing is published without human review, and our editors remain responsible for every article.

We never use AI tools to invent sources, quotes or statistics, and we don’t publish machine-generated text as-is.

Buhii.net is free to read. To help cover running costs, we may use display advertising and affiliate links in the future. Our commitments:

  • Editorial comes first. Advertising and affiliate relationships never influence what we write, what we recommend or how we rank products.
  • Sponsored content is always labeled. Any sponsored or partner content will be clearly marked, so you can tell it apart from our independent editorial work.
  • Disclosures are transparent. We follow the spirit of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and advertising disclosures.

Businesses interested in working with us can visit our advertise page. Writers who would like to contribute can read our write for us guidelines. Contributed articles go through the same editorial review as everything else we publish.
